How long do I have to activate my Thai visa and can I enter from a different country?

Wow, my visa got approved! Somehow didn't expect that anymore... Now my question is, how long do I have before I have to activate it? And can I do that from a country different than where it is issued and trough a landborder as well?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received approval for their Thai visa (DTV Visa) and inquired about the activation period and entry points. According to comments, the visa is valid for five years from the issuance date and is automatically active upon issue; thus, there is no need for a separate activation. Moreover, the visa can be used to enter Thailand through any international immigration checkpoint including land borders.

You have 5 years to use it.

you can use your Thai DTV Visa for the first time in December 6, 2029 or later if you would like as the visa validity is 5 years.... and you can enter into Thailand anywhere (land, air, sea) where there are international Thai immigration checkpoints....

ok thanks that was useful. I guess if I wait until December 29 it's not a very smart move. 😁

Anonymous participant Well, why did you put in the time, effort, and money (at least 10k Baht + 500k Baht in a bank account) to obtain a Thai DTV Visa, but not use it for 5 Years??

Personally, I understand travel plans can change and things happen in life, but 10k Baht or at least USD $300+ is no small amount; along with proof of at least 500k (~ USD $12k+) in a bank account is definitely not a small amount of money....
