I applied for my DTV while in the UK 3 weeks before my flight date. It was still processing on my flight date so I arrived in Thailand on a visa exemption for 60 days.

My DTV has now been approved and emailed to me but I’m already inside Thailand for 1 week so far.

Can I just fly out and in a nearby country to have my DTV activated or do I need to fly from the UK again?

I’m currently in Cambodia while waiting for my DTV to be approved. Once it’s approved, can I go to Bangkok by land or do I have to enter by airplane in order to activate the DTV visa? When applying online, you can select to enter by land through a border checkpoint, so I’m assuming you can, but then there are people that say otherwise.

So just to be very clear...If I have the DTV visa but I do not wish to activate it upon my entry to Thailnd because I'm planning a short stay, do I get to choose whether to use it and when or does it get activated by default once it's in the immigration computer data base?

Does the evisa shows the date of issue? I saw online that some people couldn't get their visa on time and only got approved while in Thailand and then just exited the country and re-entered to activate their visa. Won't the immigration officer check the date of issue? Anyone went through this process ?

Hi,

A question on activating ED e-visa for kid...

I have applied for the visa while still in the home country in the EU. Unfortunately I did not get it before the beginning of the school year so I came with kid on visa exemption so that he does not miss the classes.

In the meantime I've got request for further documents, including a new plane ticket (which I have bought with an option to cancel, in case any issues with getting the visa). Following to that, the visa request has been quickly approved.

Now, the question, do I have to fly back to Thailand from EU (from the country of issuance) to activate the visa or any entrance to Thailand, e.g. from a neighboring country is allowed for that purpose? The plane ticket is kind of expensive, so would be happy to cancel, but I don't want to break any rules 🤔

Thanks!

Hey guys! I have a DTV visa question:

My flight to Thailand is approaching and I don't have an answer yet regarding visa approval.

Do I need to change my flight? Or is it okay if I go and and happen to hear back once I'm in Thailand already?

Would I need to exit the country and re-enter again? Or could I stay there and just go to immigration to let someone know the situation?'

Thank you!!

Hi. I've done the spy glass thing and didn't find anything recent.

Has anyone done the Surathani/ Padang besar and return border run (Bounce) recently?

Do I book tickets to Padang Besar (Thai Side) or Stay on the train to Padang Besar itself?

I'm on Multi Entry visa and need to activate next 90 days.

Any issues at the border (1300thb service charge like at Sado)?

Many thanks for your help

I have a Non-Immigrant O-A visa, issued from my application filed in South Korea.

The visa is multiple entry.

The visa was granted 15-December-2023.

Visa must be used by 14-December-2024.

I am a USA citizen.

I am a permanent resident of South Korea.

My next trip to Thailand is scheduled for 1-December-2024.

My required Thai insurance certificate is valid until 25-December 2025.

OK.. The question. When I enter, my “visa” will be activated for one year (I assume until November 30, 2025). What about paperwork. Until now, I have had the Thai eVisa letter with the dates. If I leave in January for a trip home, what do I need to do?

Do I need to get another multi-entry stamp?

How does immigration know that my visa is valid until November 30, 2025?

How would I prove it when I re-enter the Kingdom AFTER my trip home in January?

Thank you for your help.

Hello all…. I’m about to apply for a six month tourist visa in the UK. As it is necessary to leave the country every sixty days, does this mean that if I left the country and returned just before it expired, that I would be stamped in for another sixty days…..? (Essentially giving me eight months). Also, if the visa isn’t issued until after I have arrived in Thailand, would I just need to leave the country and return again I order to activate the visa….? Thanks in advance….
