opening a bank account is not easy. Best pay an agent.

Guessing you have 100-200k in savings. It's really easy to go through savings and not easy to find work. Alot of people are working illegally, either ok the islands or in the north of Thailand. You could work as a digital nomad and there is a visa for that. You cd set up a business here with a Thai partner perhaps, but huge risks. Or do what most of us do, get married with a Thai and that opens up doors (as well as huge risks)

I'm not usually being critical but no regrets posting the above in this case. For one he's in Dreamland, two he's time wasting this forum.

If he wants to expand on the original post, fine.

How much has he saved? After what period of chilling here does he want this job to land on his lap?

You dont have a job yet as you dont want to work immediately and you have limited savings.

But you want to live here permanently.

The reality is it's really unlikely to just roll up in Thailand, find a job when you want and be given a work permit.

Thailand is now getting expensive, if you want to have a certain standard of living.

Sorry to say this but you may need a reality check.

It's best to secure a job before arrival. Otherwise marry a Thai and start a business
