I want any suggestions for us if we move to Thailand this September! My boyfriend is French, and we both live in France now. If we decide to move to Thailand, how can my boyfriend get a long-stay visa, whice he can find a job and work in Thailand? We don't want to marry in this upcoming year, so the married visa isn't our option at all.

I am looking forward to getting other advice, thanks

Hi there I just need some advice and clarity for what I am doing and applying for. I lived in Bangkok before for over 6 years working as an English Teacher. I also have a Thai wife and 2 boys. I returned back to England about 3 years ago for multiple reason am only returning now.

I wish to get over there and then land a teaching job securing another visa through that. I’m not sure if a tourist visa or non immigrant visa o is best. I have more than enough in my bank as evidence and a letter of invitation. I booked my flight for 17th Jan and hotel with 1 night test and go. I didn’t start my Thai pass so now will change my hotel to 7days quarantine. I do however already have my insurance and booked my PCR test this end. I’m double vaccinated and will print out certificates. So main questions are what have I missed and what Visa should I apply for?

Thanks in advance

Hi, guys. I am so glad that I found this group and I hope I am not a bother. I am seeing some teaching positions mentioning that you need to have a work visa.

Can you apply for a work/business visa even without being hired?

When I looked it up in the thai embassy website, they mentioned that you need to have a company registration number and tax number to apply for a Non-immigrant Business Visa.

Is there another work visa type that you can apply for without any company details first?

What is the current process for changing jobs?

If you have a teaching job with a work permit (with lots of time left on visa/permit) but just want to change schools?

Thank you 🙏

Hello, hoping someone can advise.

I have arrived in Thailand with a Non-imm B for teaching. My job (i.e. school where I'll teach) is not finalized yet - the agency prepared the docs so on paper I am working directly for them - not signed contract yet. No employer specified on the visa sticker.

Now, I have been offered a separate school job unexpectedly. Decent school but zero idea how good their paperwork people are re. Ministry of Labor etc.

As you can guess I would like to take the job offer, but my WP3 papers show the agency job. DO I have any options? Is there a legal or legally accepted way to take the job offer with the existing visa?

Thanks in advance and hope I included everything relevant.

From a desperate parent . . . Sorry to burden members here, as I'm sure everyone is dealing with their own hardships, but I'm at my wit's end and need some guidance. I'm a single dad here on Phuket, and have been for 6 years. In those six years, I was GM for a relatively successful tourism-based business (we arranged charters, team-buildings and weddings). Sadly, the consequences of the pandemic caused the business to slowly fail and my employment to be terminated 2 months ago. According to Thai labour law, I'm due severance and I attempted to negotiate a settlement rather than dragging matters through courts or arbitration. Long story - short: they are only willing to pay about 25% of what is actually owed and only when the company's assets are eventually sold. The main issue is, my savings have almost run out and I am really struggling to make ends meet. I certainly can't afford a new visa, nor is there any work available here. I can't even afford a flight back to my own country (I've contacted my embassy, with nothing but a 'sorry, you're on your own - good luck' response). I have a wonderful 12-year-old boy and I just need him to be safe and well. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions, please?

Thanks.

Hi guys.

I am a uk citizen married to a Thai woman.

I have a flight ticket return from London for 4 months.

I will enter Thailand on January 15 by air.

I will be going to Vietnam for a holiday around January 20.

Not sure how long I will stay in Vietnam.

Could be 5 days could be more.

Will be looking for a teaching job.

My question. Do I :

1. Get a non o visa based on marriage from London. ( single 90 days ) £50.

* can I pay 1000 baht at airport when I fly to Vietnam for re - entry permit to keep it alive.

2. Enter on 30 day exempt, fly to HCMC and get non o year visa for 5000 baht.

( non proof of funds )

Thanks for any thoughts.
