TLDR : Answer Summary
Typically, Russian citizens cannot extend their 30-day visa waiver for another 30 days; they can only extend for 7 days. However, due to the Russia/Ukraine conflict, they may receive a special 30-day extension by obtaining a letter from their embassy. Additionally, they can apply for a 60-day COVID extension which is available until May 24th.

NORMALLY no russians can't get 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa waiver entry they come in on, they can get a 7 day stamp and leave.

BUT they can get a 30 day extension by getting a letter from their embassy (due to the Russia/Ukraine war) and they should be able to apply for a 60 day covid extension until May 24th when the program runs out
