Hi everyone,

I would like to apply for the DTV as a freelancer. I work in dropshipping with a friend, and we operate one online store together. We share the income generated from that website.

My friend has already used this same website as proof of income for his DTV application. Would I be able to use the same source of income for my application as well, or is it likely to be rejected?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Thailand Work Visa to DTV Experience?

I was just curious if anyone has had any experience where they were working in Thailand through a work visa, and wanted to shift to freelancing for foreign clients while still staying in Thailand.

DTV (workation) seems like the way to go in this case but I'm wondering if they're looking for an existing history of freelance already in order to grant DTV in this case.

If my last freelance gig was from 5 years ago, is this still good enough? Or would it be better for me to return home first and get freelance gigs and then try to apply after a more recent history of freelance. Thanks for your opinions everyone :D

Hello, a bit of help.

I applied for the DTV for WorkCation as a remote worker Employee. I work from home for a company and get paid bi-weekly. I originally submitted, employee contract with stated permission to work in thailand, as well as my bank statements.

i applied a couple weeks ago and just received my first email back from them and it states they want resume and professional portfolio.

Since i applied as an employee. How should I go about this?

I am currently seeking work in a school teaching english in Thailand (fully qualified) and therefore, assume I will be applying for a Non-immigrant visa “B” once (if) I get a job offer.

I have my own small graphic design business, currently registered in Ireland. if I would like to carry out work while living in Thailand on this visa, while still working at a school, will I also need to apply for a DTV visa? Should I transfer my business to Thailand instead? I understand that if I will be living here more than 183 days a year, that I will need to pay taxes in Thailand.

tl;dr Can I work on my small business while on a Visa B and teaching in a school?

Hi All.

I am a British National applying in the UK for work vacation.

However the 500,000thb is in a locked away in my ISA, so I am going to go down the sponsorship method. My boyfriend also works in Thailand as a teacher.

I am confident in my portfolio and will still show my ISA statements for supporting evidence.

Any advice? Thankyou!

I am applying for a non-immigrant visa so I can work in Thailand. The last requirement is asking for a WP32. How do I go about obtaining this?

5 . WP32 (An approval letter from the Ministry of Labour) or work permit in case of Non-Immigrant B renewal (Japanese is waived from the requirement to submit WP32)

Is it easy to transfer your work visa?

For example if I get sponsored by company A, and then after a year apply for company B, will B have a hard time getting the work visa transferred?

I ask because so many companies ask if I am authorized to work in Thailand and if I need visa sponsorship, but only one company (I dont want to work long term in this one) is willing
