Looking around the different pages and forums and the amount of B visa issues, it seems the new rule in Malaysia of only issuing a 12 month ME B visa to company owners, directors and shareholders is having it's desired effect.

The 7th of May is the date you have to enter by. If you don't enter by that date, the visa is finished.

You won't get an extension in Pattaya with more than 15 days left on your entry. At busy times they will often tell you come back in the last 7 days of your entry.
