I'm looking to get a 2 year Muay Thai dtv visa if possible. In the Pattaya/Jomtien area.

Can anyone share any real life experience and recommend an agent/gym that can competently handle the paper work etc.

Also costs please and any other kind information.

Thank you.

DTV EXTENSION IN PATTAYA

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here extended their DTV visa at Pattaya Immigration after the first 6 months? I really don’t want to do a border run — I’m on the freelance DTV and can prove everything.

Can you tell me:

• What documents you needed for the extension —

are they the same ones as for the initial application, or are there additional ones required?

• For example, do I need to show:

– proof of invoices / work done for clients?

– proof of 500,000 THB in savings?

– anything else like rental contract, tax docs, bank statements, letter of explanation?

• Was the process difficult or straightforward?

Thank you guys

Going over my checklist for one year extension of Non-O retirement visa in Chonburi/Pattaya.

Visa expires on 28 January but I'd like to apply on 16 or 19 January.

TM7 form (includes acknowledgement of penalties)

Passport photos

Copy of passport pages.

Copy of 1 year signed rental agreement

Copy of one year bank statement

Copy of bank book pages with same day update

Copy of TM30

Bank Letter certifying minimum baht requirement (I had no transfers since my last extension)

Am I missing anything? Please advise.

Heads up to anyone using Pattaya Immigration. I had my annual interview for the Non Imm. O visa Ext. of Stay thru marriage yesterday. Nightmare. Worst in 28 years. Even my usually unflappable Thai wife was upset at the process. Home photos rejected. Had to go home take more, a 1-hour return drive. Photocopies unacceptable. In and out all morning to get more done then having to queue up again in long queues of at least 40 or 50 people in front of us twice.

The female immigration officer even had a problem with the map to our house which we printed off from Google Maps. Not good enough. It had to be hand drawn with a copy so that means hand drawn twice. Don’t know if the IO was just having a bad day or not but doubt it as a friend said he had something similar happen to him last week in Bangkok immigration. Oh and marriage cert. good for the last 23 years, not anymore. Needs updating every year now so had to go to the Amphur district office do that.

The questions they’re asking nowadays are very invasive as well. Why did you move? (asked twice) How did you pay for your house? Got receipts? Where does your income come from? Got any pension? Proof? Receipts? Be warned. It’s a new dawn in immigration these days and the bank freezes were just the start. I’d be interested to know if anybody’s had similar experiences having done a recent 1-year Extension of Stay on long-term Thai visa. Thanks.🙏

Hello, I live in Pattaya and I want to apply for a DTV visa.

I’m a crypto trader, which doesn’t count as income according to the government, so I’d like to get the visa through a Muay Thai program.

Can anyone give recommendations on the best way to do it?

Maybe a specific agency or which country is best to apply from?

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Has anyone recently extended their DTV at Pattaya Immigration? My first 6 months expire at the beginning of October and I’d like to know which documents are required for the extension.

Please don’t suggest leaving the country, if it’s really impossible to extend, I’ll take a short trip abroad, but otherwise I’d prefer to extend.

Thanks.
