ORIGINAL POSTER
I am currently on non b visa but expiring soon and went to Cheang wattana to extend yesterday but was told all papers from social fund, tax, etc must be original signed copies. Also paid taxes must be 3 months in order to get extension.

1. Is there any allowance given if I only had paid 1 month tax only?

2. Is it true that my current permit valid till July 2018 is tied to my current non B visa? I will need to reapply my work permit if I failed to get my non B extended?

3. I be leaving bkk back to sg on the 14th feb so really appreciate any advices I can get to get the extension before that.

Thanks ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on extending their Non-B visa, which is about to expire. They learned that they need original signed documents related to the Social Fund and tax payment history, with a requirement of three months of paid taxes for an extension. They have only paid for one month and are inquiring about possible allowances in this case. Additionally, they want to know if their valid work permit is connected to the Non-B visa and if they would need to reapply for it if they cannot secure the visa extension before leaving for Singapore.

Looking around the different pages and forums and the amount of B visa issues, it seems the new rule in Malaysia of only issuing a 12 month ME B visa to company owners, directors and shareholders is having it's desired effect.

Thank you for this.

Only what

is reporting Claudine. He's a visa agent in Penang. Kota Bharu and KL are applying the same rule.

Ah ha! So that is what's going on. Do you have any links to info on this new rule. Thanks

Possibly yes, while other embassies will make it ever more difficult to obtain repeated / frequent visas.

That I believe was the only place in the region they could be obtained anyway?
Robert ********
Soon other embassies will follow in suit, perhaps.

Company is only 6 months old, the Non B visa only 90 days but we can not show 3 months tax payments. Than only option is leave the country and apply for a new Single Entry Non B visa and get a new 90 day stay inside Thailand and tell your employer to start paying tax, sso etc every month so next time you can do an Extension of Stay.
