Let's say you have your life savings and you are getting pension money.

How to tell the money you brought in is from your savings or from the pension you got on your home country account ?

I did it exactly as you mentioned. Left and re-entred the country inside the first year validity of the OA visa (with new health insurance). At the border I got a new one year stamp but when I went to the immigration office for TM30 they did not accept the stamp from the border.

From my experience the stamp in your passport is relevant in order to extend your visa.

this is what I am going to do next week. Exit before the (first year) OA expires and re-enter with new insurance bought here in Thailand. Hoping I did everything right and no issues when I will re-enter.

I guess the Authorities want to select the people applying for the retirement visa. I wonder about the impact it will have considering that neighbouring countries are offering less strict requirements in order to get the visa for living there.

the 800K THB is in place since 2008. With inflation today it would be around 1'150'000 THB. 1.5 mio I guess it would prevent some people to retire in Thailand. I wonder if this adapted amount will apply only to new pension visa candidates or to the old one as well.
