In a little over a week I can go to Immigration in Bangkok to submit my request for 12 month extension to my Non-O Retirement Visa. I went out to Immigration to get their list of requirements the immigration officer who gave me the paper also told me I needed to get the bank certificate showing the account balance and this can't be more than 7 days old; Bank Statements for the last two months showing the 800k is seasoned; the day I come to process my extension updated bank passbook on that day, printed copy of my TM-30 -- all of this in addition to my passport (copies of bio data and entry stamp, copies of my Non-O Retirement Visa.
However, when she was talking to my gf she also mentioned having: 1) Condominium location of map, 2) Condominium lease agreement (I'm on Airbnb) and 3) Copy of the Condominium Owners ID Card and House Registration. QUESTION I have is has anyone recently gone for their 12 month extension and were asked for these last 3 things (cause none of these were on the sheet they hand out while most of the first group of items needed I knew about from reading messages here)?
I live in Koh Samui with my family and I’m on a Non-Immigrant Guardian visa (children on ED visas).
I need to open a Thai bank account for immigration purposes (Guardian visa extension, proof of funds).
Based on recent experience (end of 2025), which bank and which branch in Samui is currently the most foreigner-friendly and realistic for this situation?
I have passport, visa, TM30, local address, and school documents.
Any recent feedback (Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn, SCB, specific branches) would be really appreciated?
If a person has applied for their 1 year Non-imm O Marriage Visa and in between application being submitted at Immigration and the date which interview/approval etc takes place. If there is a change of address does this cause a problem as long as new TM forms done etc
Hi guys, I just got my non-o 3 month visa application approved this morning in Laos. It took less than 4 business days. And they accepted a letter certifying my retirement income from my pension fund, as the canadian embassy does no longer produces income certificates. I also had documents showing I had more than 800 000 thb in a bank account in Canada but I didn't need to show it. So it was easier than expected. Thanks to all of you who gave me sound advices.
Does the UK embassy or consulate still offers an affiliate letter to certify a monthly 65k pension for the non-o extension? It's about a friend from Bermudas, holding a UK Passport and his 1st ever non-o extension.
I know immigration may ask the 3 prof, 20k cash return fly and hotel booking

I have a hotel booking in pattaya for 30 days already but is just booked via a simple email with answers from hotel because they are not in any booking Plattform and i worry little bit because i coming every year for 45-60 days, last time fly home 31 December 2024
Can anyone confirm to get the 12 months of bank statements from Bangkok Bank and the certification of balance letter do you need your passport/ID AND your passbook when asking in the branch? This is to ask for them not to receive them.
EDIT: It seems both are absolutely necessary. So secondary question, how long after the statements are taken from the bank must they be used for the visa renewal? If the statements are requested on the 1st I aim to renew on the 9th. Should be fine?
