Tod yes I can have the school put ANY date for the end of study (the current extension ends on January 19). I will get the marriage certificate on January 7. I can get bank letter showing 40k deposits for last 12 months, and all my wife's documents. This will save me a long trip to Laos. I am going to go with my wife to Chiang Mai immigration and ask tomorrow morning. Hopefully they will confirm.

Sorry I just want to confirm it is NOT possible to simply convert an ED extension to an extension based on marriage, inside of Thailand (Chiang Mai). Thanks.

What I am curious about is if the financial requirements are less stringent for the extension of stay at the ampur office, as opposed to do the guardian of a student at an inter school. the financial requirement for doing the inter school visa is a challenge for me, so i am thinking it might be preferable to do the one at the amphur office. thanks for any info.

the half-Thai child attends the international school and the parent gets the visa. sorry not clear.
