TLDR : Answer Summary
When moving from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin after obtaining a marriage visa extension, you need to report your new address using the TM30 form within 24 hours of arrival. You will continue to complete your 90-day reporting at the new Hua Hin immigration office, and your next visa extension should also be filed there. It is advisable to confirm these details with the Chiang Mai immigration office before moving.

Good Luck Paul...

Before you move you might want to double check with ChMai Immigration to make sure of the process for your change of address.

That way when you do get to Hua Hin you know all is OK.

Good Luck...

it is to simple to explain.

If you like to live in another house, another province, another condo, what ever. You pack your bags, you load up your belongings and of you go.

At the new address the ONLY thing you have to do is make sure you get registered at the Immigration Office that serve that area.

It is called the address registration, or populair by expats the TM30 form.

That is it, unpack, relax and enjoy your new surrounding, the rest of the rules about 90 days in Thailand, apply for a new Extension etc are all the same only need to be done at another office

I believe you would simply file a TM30 no later then 24 hours after you arrive at your new location.

Do your 90 days at the new office and report your new address to the new immigration within 24 hours. Your next visa will be done at the immigration office where you live. Hua him has it's own immigration.

And then the next extension I just file in Hua Hin? What I understand is that the first time I do the marriage extension, it is sort of provisional and they will do a home visit and check all the info is accurate. Is that correct? And does moving from one province to interfere with that process?

Sorry if my question was not clear. If I make an extension based on marriage in Chiang Mai, and then I want to move to Hua Hin, what process should I follow? Simply update address and at the time of next extension, go to the Hua Hin Immigration Office? Sorry if this is too obvious.

I guess is that you moved to another house or property and the house owner, land owner, house master of possessor of the house has to report you within 24 hours after arriving that you reside on that address

you can not move from one Immigration office to another Immigration office.

What was your old immigration office, and where is your new immigration office?
