What are the rules regarding going from Covid extension to another extension? (In my situation, I was on guardian extension, did not have funds to renew, switched to Covid extension, and plan to return to guardian extension sometime in the future. My local immigration office has said this is possible.)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Covid extension in Thailand was introduced to assist individuals who were unable to leave the country due to travel restrictions during the pandemic. According to user feedback, there are no strict rules governing the transition from a Covid extension back to a guardian extension. The decision is typically at the discretion of the local immigration office. It is suggested to communicate directly with your immigration office to confirm the possibility of switching extensions.

There are no rules.

This so called Covid Extension is made to help people who got stuck in Thailand as international travel was not possible.

It will be between you and your Immigration Office to allow this Extension as bridge for no funds.
