For extension of visa at local immigration office, do I need to have more than 6 months validity in my passport? For example, if I want to extend an ED visa, and I only have 5 months validity of my passport, will I be denied extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your ED visa at a local immigration office in Thailand, it's generally required to have at least 6 months of validity remaining on your passport. If your passport has only 5 months of validity left, there is a high likelihood that your extension request could be denied due to this requirement.
