I'm so happy while I write this. My DTV has just been approved a couple of minutes ago. I applied in Seoul, Korea (I'm not Korean, but Korea is my "home" country as I've lived here for the past 15 years) on August 26th, was requested additional documents (a resume in English) on Sept 2nd, and the status changed to "Pending Approval" on Sept 5th. I'm thankful the Embassy took its time to approve it, so I wouldn't "lose" almost 2 months of the visa validity time.

Applied as a remote worker.

hello everyone; I would like to give you information about my DTV visa application experience. I am a Turkish citizen. I applied ankara thai embassy for a DTV visa on January 6, and since then my visa application has remained in pending document check status. When I talked to the embassy on the phone today, the people I contacted were not good at English, and I was informed that I could get a 60-day visa at the door. I told them that I had applied for a DTV visa and informed them that my flight was 30 days away, but they could not understand me because their English was not very good. If anyone is thinking of applying, I do not recommend you to apply here.

Got the DTV.

Applied in Taipei Monday Morning.

Soft Power :

-Confirmation of Muay Thai course

-Proof or payment for course

-filled in Visa form with photo

-bank statement 6 months.

Had to get also business registration documents, from Muay Thai Gym and print at 7-11.

Had to come back Tuesday afternoon for an interview.

After interview I paid the fee and then told to come back Wednesday afternoon to pickup my passport.

So in total, the process took around 54 hours start to finish.

And Taipei and the people and food are pretty cool.

Hi! Does anyone know if we can change our DTV application address online after it’s been approved and issued? Or do I need to go in person to change my address?

LA seems to be the quickest US consulate. Just had this feedback: "Hello! I wanted to let you know my DTV was approved on January 15, 2025. It took exactly 3 weeks. I am so excited! I was not asked for any additional paperwork or clarification from the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles, and approval came swiftly. I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I believe the packet you put together was detailed and accurate making the entire application very smooth."

Husband got DTV today after almost six working days. Applied in Vietnam. Probably would be shorter process if you could upload everything at once, but they asked for documents separately so we just gave them only what they needed. Tonight we're doing my tag along DTV.

Just got my DTV from the Thai embassy in Laos

Thanks to everyone in this group for their guidance and advice....

My process that I followed

Getting a Laos visa (as a UK passport holder) - USD 40 if you do VOA (visa on arrival)

Evisa option only available now as all bookings this month are full up

- 6 months bank statements showing THB 500k minimum (lucky I have a Thai bank account

but you can do with your home country bank statements showing the equivalent)

- Proof of residency (copy of lease agreement etc)

- photocopy of your passport BIO page

- photocopy of the Laos visa page (did not know this at the time..lucky photocopy place across the road)

- paperwork from the Muay Thai (fitfac) in Bangkok showing DTV approval

- proof of payment for the Muay Thai classes (photocopy needed)

- THB10000 in cash for the non refundable embassy charge.

Had appointment on the Thursday morning and picked up the visa on the Monday (13:30)

Now taking a bus (from app 12GO) from Vientiene to udon Thani (around thb200)

Feel free to ask any questions..but thanks again to the members of this group for their valuable contributions ...good luck to those going through the process
