I applied to London 15th Oct, status changed to pending approval 20th but didn’t receive until 12th November. The process is taking much longer than in previous years and there have been several posts saying the same thing. As long as your status is “pending approval” you should be ok and get it in the next couple of days

but most bought in home country are for maximum 31 days. Best you can get is 60 days. He wants 7 months - hence the question

1. Go on British embassy website, upload required documents and make appointment.

2. Attend appointment in embassy in Bangkok. Pay and receive document.

3. Have translated (a bit weird as it is a passport but needs to be done). I used a translator on soi 13 in Pattaya but there are many.

4. Go to MFA office in central mall - no need for. Bangkok.

In the uk if against foreign office advice travel insurance companies will use this

Check your travel insurance. It’s one of the provinces on uk government website where travel is not recommended- so any insurance may be invalid

no. Wanted more documentation and unfortunately the condo “renters” turned out not to be the owners

I tried this in Jomtien last winter. They also wanted ID of the condo owner and documentation that they owned the condo. Will try again next winter to get the residence certificate
