What are the steps to get documents translated and authorized for marriage in Thailand?

Not visa related - more anything else. I intend to marry in Thailand and have the certified marital status document and passport copy from the British Embassy. I believe the next step it to have these documents translated to Thai and then authorised. Does anyone know an authorised translation service in Jomtien/Pattaya that can translate at a reasonable cost (without using an agent)? Thanks in advance for constructive replies.

Once you get it translated, make an appointment at the thai passport office on floor 4 at central. For translation, I used a company at the side of Big C, pattaya Klang

You will need to get your affirmation of freedom to marry translated and then legalized at the MFA in Bangkok. Go see Maneerat on Soi Post Office Pattaya and ask her to provide the service. You can then compare that against having to do it all yourself with time and expense of getting to Bangkok and maybe having to stay overnight.

Legalization Service is now available in Pattaya at the same location where Thais can obtain passports.

The office is on the 4th floor of the Central Pattaya Shopping Center which has entries from Beach Road and 2nd Road.

Not sure in those two places. We had ours done in Bangkok. They were awesome. Very affordable too. We even got an agent for the marriage portion and only cost like 1800 baht. The translation portion was quick and they just shipped everything to us when it was done.
