No issues.. I had to update my passport when changed phone to get app again.

Also since Lost my card, no issue getting replacement.

I leave and re-enter Thailand frequently on DTV.. Never once been asked to show anything on re-entry yet.

Yes, if you have to work on your leave whilst in Thailand on laptop. Teams meetings etc. Get a letter from Company stating so and apply.

What should I do to update my Thai banking app after getting a new phone and renewing my passport while on a DTV?

I had the same issue just before xmas with BKK bank. Account was 12 years old. I couldnt transfer app from old phone as passport on account had expired. Also now on a DTV. No issue in bank. Just bank book and new passport, details updated on account and working straight away again.
