TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is looking for accommodation options in Bangkok for a month or two for a family of three without the requirement of a deposit. They have received suggestions for serviced apartments and Airbnb, highlighting specific locations like Baan 192 and Center Point. Additionally, there are discussions about potential visa extension issues relating to temporary accommodations and the importance of having proper documentation (TM30 form) filled by landlords or agents.

For a month, we got a 1 bedroom apt at Center Point soi 10, for just a few dollars (including breakfast & daily maid service) over what a airbnb in area costs.

If you are first time Farang airBNB is your friend. Otherwise you can walk around some of the neighborhoods and find places to rent.

Both cases will be a pain for immigration. If you don't need to extend visa or anything like that, no problems.

That can be an issue. I use AirBNB as a my residence on paper. There is a lady within in the building that understands the immigration process and she filled out the paperwork for me but I still had to file the TM30 myself. My landlord did not fill-out the paperwork.

Most AirBNB's I have stayed at will not fill out the paperwork nor will they provide you the paperwork you need to complete the TM30. Some airBNB's will, you may want to check before you make a reservation.

Another option is use an agent. My Agent wanted 2000 baht to complete the TM30, additionally they wanted some kinda of evidence of where I was staying.

It used to be that Bangkok never cared about TM30 but now they do, the last I knew. Maybe some immigration offices don't care. Pattaya does care and you will need a TM30 before you can get an extension.

In Bangkok you can wonder much further away from the most central places and still easily survive like a tourist compared to Hanoi in my opinion. But the area I enjoy the most in Bangkok is definitely Thonglor, try google and see if it's something for you. Cheaper but also good is Ekkamai that's nearby.

your question is vague also different districts different prices Bangkok is a big place, my condo in talat phlu cost about 8 times less than one in Central silom.

Search airbnb they have filters to suit your price range and location. Agoda has serviced apartments again you can use filters.
