With the new online evisa application for stays over 30days.

Can I still arrive on the 30 day visa exemption stamp, and extend for 30 days at jomtien immigration, rather than apply for the evisa?

Cheers
Answer summary
Yes, you can enter Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption stamp and later apply for a 30-day extension at Jomtien Immigration. However, it's important to note that you will need to obtain a Thailand Pass to enter the country.

Yes...you can enter visa exempt and get 30 days on arrival plus obtain the 30 day extension at your immigration office in Jomtien.

But you will still need to obtain a Thailand Pass to enter Thailand.

Suggest you ask on this helpful forum your questions about obtaining the Thailand Pass.
