@Ellie ******
when I checked in at immigration three weeks ago no tm 6 was presented nor attached to my passport.

I am fully aware of the difference.

Thank you

There is a top notch school on the small Island of Koh Samui, called the School of Joy.

I'm sure you can find it in a search.

another option is an on line class that teaches you how to read Thai, a good program, and really helps with proper "sounds" it's called "Learn Thai from a White Guy" Don't work, just live and learn.

Good Luck.

Thanks Robert, I think I'll drive in this time, and make sure that I have it set up the right way for the next one. My landlord has been doing the TM 30 when necessary, Via Cell Phone (I send her a Photo of my PP, VISA, and TM6, and she does the rest.)

Thanks Again.

bus buddy can give you a receipt/ticket for travel by bus from Bangkok to Seam Reap for around $20, and they are 80% refundable. (Just another option, Leaving doesn't have to be by air)

and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

For anyone else heading to LA, The Embassy is on Larchmont, and walking distance down the street is a "MAIL STOP" that can both make copies and Notarize any documents you need. (ask for Ted)

I know because I just came form there, with a NEW VISA.

In my case (over 50 long stay Non Immigrant O-A Multiple entry)

(What many of us call a "retirement" VISA)

Monthly Qualifier is 65,000 Baht Minimum

I use a service called "Transfer Wise" to move the required amount into My Thai Bank.

I also gave them copies of the transfers as well as the Passbook Deposits (copies of my actual passbook from the Thailand Bank)

This was not about Extension of stay.
