Hello all, Just received a new Non O-A from Los Angeles, American (over 50). They now require proof of income, or the lump sum $$ to qualify. The proof is ONLY accepted by Bank statements (showing sufficient income) for a Full Year!
(Just a heads up to any who will be headed there)
When I landed in Bangkok, at immigration, the IO seemed upset that the VISA was legit??

Glad you got the O-A visa (y) AND glad you made it into the country BEFORE the 31st of Oct because no one knows what's going to happen when people enter on them after that date..
In Australia, proof of savings or income has always been required. I can't offer opinion on the US methodology, but it seems strange that previously they issued OAs with no proof of funding?
They NEVER issued O-A visas without proof of funding.
I believe 100% that the problem was showing the money being moved IN thailand versus showing the money dumping into in the US in a bank account every month.
