As at today, get an agent to assist you in opening a bank account. I did mine in Pattaya-Bangkok bank last week.

Donโ€™t see those videos or read posts from 1-2yrs ago. They are no more relevant. Things are ever changing.

Get the agent in Thailand. Many available who can assist. Take note, every bank branch in each province can be different even if same bank name.
