FYI. Easy to do. You can also use your email for the OTP step then keep your Thai license digitally.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the ease of using a digital Thai driving license via an app and mentions the use of email for OTP verification. Comments raise concerns about the acceptance of digital licenses by traffic police, the risk of losing access if purchasing a new phone, and the app's availability for users outside Thailand, specifically in the UK.

Google says the app isn't available in my country. I'm on the UK Google Play store and I don't want to change to the Thai Play store. Is the app available from somewhere else?
just to confirm it works. I'm registered. The first time I tried to register with the mobile phone number but I couldn't get it to work somehow so I tried again using my email address and then scanned the code on the license and all is well. One less piece of plastic to carry around with me. Thank God for Google translate!
Because sometimes when you get stopped for a traffic reason they take your licence, tell you to take the fine to the Police station, pay the fine and bring the receipt to the cop that has your licence and he "should" return your licence to you after he sees the receipt.
I used Google translation app. First I downloaded the app to my iPhone by scanning the QR code. Then I followed the prompts in the DLT app using my iPad to translate from Thai to English.
