Hello all, Question about the 800k in a bank account.. I currently have the money in Bangkok Bank on an account that is giving me a super low interest rate.. I went to a branch and they do have other better options giving 1.2%, up to 1.8% etc.. my question is.. would there be a problem with my current Non O - Retirement basis visa if I transfer the money from one account to another type of account within the same bank? I won't withdraw any money, just changing account flavors, Has anyone tried ? Thanks in advance.

- Non-O retirement Visa question about my BK Bank account.

What is the procedure for moving my BK Bank account used for my visa to a different province/district??

Edit to add: I want the 800k to be in a bank close to me and the new immigration office where I move to.

I have a question about the 800k in regards to retirement visa.

Since I am in Thailand, I never touched the 800k which i had in a fixed deposit with Bangkok Bank.

So far so good, never a problem. Now I want to move all my Bangkok Bank accounts to Siam Commercial Bank.

Is there anything I need to be aware of in regards to the 800k? I renewed my retirement visa on 31st of October 2023. It expires on 6th of November 2024.

Is there a time limit the 800k need to stay in the Bangkok Bank account given I renewed my visa on 31st of October? If yes, do I need a confirmation letter from Bangkok Bank that the money stayed in the account for the required period?

Extension of stay retirement based on money in the bank.

If I move my 800k Baht to a new account/bank to get at least a little interest, is this transaction likely to cause any grief with the immigration office on renewal when it shows balance going to zero in one book then starting anew in another one? Could they say it has lost it's seasoning for example and refuse a renewal?

I would plan for the changeover to be done on the same day, but I dont want to tempt fate. Thanks
