It's to the persons own advantage to learn to speak thai.

I can speak enough to get by but not enough to get into a full conversation iv been here on and off 12 years

It a hard language to conquer I live in the sticks and it's a different slang of thai ????

12 years ago I brought cash from uk, better exchange at supper rich

50+ back then I bought land and built family home, if you do it that way keep proof from your bank withdrawal , declare to customs fill in form at you departure airport.

I didn't declare it at Bangkok, everything went OK.just a suggestion.
