Please don’t confuse multiple entries with multiple EXTENSIONS

You seem to have missed the latest news:

First extension in a calendar year:

60 days → up to 90 days

Second (and last) extension in the same year:

60 days → up to 67 days.

Definitely worth reading the news more regularly!

Just come to Thailand - you don’t need any visa to visit Thailand at the moment if you have a German passport!

Once you’re in Thailand - any visa agent will get you a retirement visa and a Thai bank account.

Expect to spend 1,000 Euro or more - but you will get 15 months retirement visa.

You can extend your retirement visa next year for free if you deposit 800,000 Baht into your Thai bank account.

Thousands of people do that every year!

I did exactly that too!

I need to transfer my retirement visa from old passport to new passport, but in Pattaya.

Do I need, more or less, to follow the same rules?

It can be quite a hassle to obtain the re-entry permit at the airport or immigration.

If she plans to travel overseas more than once in the next 12 months -

I would highly recommend getting the Multiple Re-Entry permit for 3,800 baht

It might take up to 40 minutes!

I would strongly recommend to get the re-entry permit from the immigration office a few days prior to the departure!

I used to do exactly that back in the days before COVID.

But I would fly to either Hanoi or Singapore and get a TR Visa, which I was extending in Thailand for another 30 days.

I finally got sick of all that, and I got myself a retirement visa after I turned 50
