Good Day to you all. Back in pre-COVID days I would hang out in Thailand for 90 days (60 days TR Visa + 30 days extension of stay) and then bugger off to Vietnam and get another 60 days TR Visa from the Thai Consulate in Hanoi or Saigon. Therefore, I have never stayed in the kingdom for longer than 90 days. However, due to the fact that I am getting the 60 days COVID EXTENSION, at the end of March my stay in Thailand will exceed 90 days. I am well aware that farangs who stay in Thailand for longer than 90 days are required to do the “90 Days Reporting” at the immigration office. I will be visiting Jomtien immigration office at exactly 90 day after my arrival due to their stamp in my passport.

My question is - Do I need to do the “90 Days Reporting” in addition to submitting my passport for additional 30 days stamp on my COVID EXTENSION?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is inquiring whether they need to complete the 90 Days Reporting after exceeding their 90-day stay in Thailand due to a COVID extension. Comments suggest that requirements can vary by immigration office; therefore, it is advisable to check with the local office. Generally, the first extension may serve as the 90-day report, meaning another report might not be necessary if it's within the designated timeframe.

From my understanding and the Thai Immigration website, your first extension of stay also acts as your 90 day notification. Therefore you only need to submit a 90 day report 90 days after you first apply for an extension of stay 😊

Can you please post the hyperlink to that text

the only caveat with that is I believe the 90 days clock starts from the day you apply for the extension of stay, not the day your initial stay expires.

90 day reports are free and you can do it in a 3 week window from 2 weeks before it is due to 1 week after. If you are going to be in the immigration office anyway then just ask or just do it.

As James said, some offices require it and some don't. Some offices have changed if they required it after months not requiring it. The only way to know for sure is to ask your immigration office.

Simple answer...ASK your local Thai immigration office of their policy re 90 day reports and filing of the TM30.

With 70+ immigration offices in Thailand there are varied requirements.

ASK and you will know.
