Come over and apply for non O. I guess i am more or less self insured regarding my pre existing conditions such as high blood pressure and prostate issues. My normal medication are bought without ongoing prescriptions at about 1500 baht per month. Have labwork done every 6 months for 1900 baht and i know what to watch for, psa, ldl, glucose, etc. I pay approx $100 usd per month for a well regarded travel medical plan with high deductible . in case of accidents or anything not excluded as a pre existing condition. Even if you bought a $500 per month plan here they are not obliged to cover pre existing conditions. Do the research. Good luck.
To clarify, my friend and i have our accounts with Bangkok bank, back in September wise transfers went to kasikorn then to bangkok bank requiring a certificate of international transfer from kasikorn for immigration. Regular kasikorn branches do NOT provide this certificate. Only international services desk. They had one at pattaya klang. Now, evidently, they do not and directed my friend to laem chabang branch. So if anyone knows, for sure, where kasikorn has international service desk, please do inform.
Im not a kasikorn customer, i went to their internationl services desk here in pattaya. I dont know if they have that where you are but im sure there are others
For many folks , so far, only the September transfers were a problem. Get a credit advice letter from Bangkok bank and a certification of International transfer from kasikorn for the affected month or months and hopefully that is enough proof.
