Went with a friend today renewing his retirement visa using the 65k per month transfer format at Jomtien. While he was in line to get his number i went in to watch the goings on purely for educational purposes. of the 9 applicants i could see, 5 were turned away for discrepancies, one was a bank book not dated today ( rookie mistake) 2 others were lacking house book or owners passport or id, another one his tm30 address didnt match his rental contract, another i couldnt determine but all of those denied seemed like easy fixes. Lots of scrutiny on rental contracts, house books etc. 4 applicants (including my friend, ) sailed right on through to success. so the wise transfer to bangkok bank in September 2025 went through kasikorn and on his statement was not coded as FTT. He had the kasikorn certificate for the problematic transfer code and it was cleared and accepted by the IO.

To make things so much easier just make a single deposit of B800,000 once and so no need to be concerned about transfers happening perfectly 12 times!

I think it's stress that makes people forget, and I was there also and the immigration lady with stars and stripes was sending people on their way with insufficient documentation. Really bad that small errors will let you start all over, leaving to get proper documents, and then again returning and standing in line again. Takes time that's for sure 🤔

Lucky him! I tried to transfer $65,000 with kasicorn that was funky and another well documented $65,000 transfer to Siam Commercial Bank in September. The Siam was the one I brought with me for the income verification and despite having a nice clear documentation that that $65,000 transfer in September of 2025, mine was not accepted. Fortunately I kept $800,000 in my Bangkok bank account the entire year or so that was accepted!

Mark Schultz I'm sure they were definitely happy to accept $800,000 versus B800,000 that is required!

Mark SchultzFor that September wise transfer we obtained a certificate of global transfer from kasikorn bank. The only difficulty was locating a kasikorn international services desk which is not in all kasikorn branches. Locally, in Pattaya, must go to the kasikorn branch in Laem Chabang. About 30 minute bus ride north of pattaya.

Question: Did your friend get visa letter (100thb fee) from Bangkok Bank? Which branch office? Or 12 months statement only? It was terrible last year...

Alexey Shipulin an American citizen would need the 12-months transfers statement from his bank. Or have the minimum of 800,000 THB in his Thai bank account, and the bank letter confirming the seasoning

Mark Schultz Sure that is why I asked my questions. I used 40k WISE transfer every month withing 5 years for my marriage visa instead of 400.000 deposit but last year the bank offered me suddenly to block my money on my account for 4 month!
