If you want to submit TM30 in person, you go to the ChanegWattana office in Bangkok.

Please check this post, this still works in Bangkok.

Or ask your landlord to do it online.

@Mike ******
, as long as your TM30 is submitted before your application, shouldn't be a problem.

That depends on each office. Some offices let you in immediately even if you arrive later with a booking, while some put you in a queue as same as walk-ins if you are late for a certain time.

The best may be arriving 5-10 minutes earlier than your appointment time.

Print and bring the appointment details sent by email, in case.

Unfortunately, there is no 30-day extension available for Non-O entry. You need to apply for a 60-day "Visiting Thai Family" (NOT based on marriage) Extension, but for this, you need to bring your direct Thai family member as a "reason for an extension" anyway.

Otherwise, you need to leave Thailand once within 29 March to enter again on visa-exemtp (if you are eligible for, or another tourist status).

No, you cannot apply for multiple entry Non-O based on Thai family on eVisa system with the standard process. eVisa system itself (not by each embassy/consulate) wouldn't give you the multiple-entry option for it anymore (since the system update last October). Only single entry Non-O visa based on Thai family, visa validity is 90 days and you will be stamped in for 90 days on entry to Thailand during that visa validity period for once.

All you can do is contact the Thai consulate in Chicago to see if they handle multiple entry Non-O visas case by case. Not all embassies/consulates do this though.

and you are right, you cannot change your Non-OA-based entry stamp to Non-O-based without leaving Thailand.

, your understanding for each is correct. This is general information for 1-year extension based on over 50. But it's not the actual one for your immigration office. you need to get the latest handout of the requirements from your local office.

forgot one more option.

3. Going back to your home country to apply for a new Non-OA visa and repeat that two-year process.

It's not a "need" to move to a Non-O-based retirement visa. It's about which way you really want to go.

You have two options to be on a long-term extension based on over 50/retirement.

1. Applying for an extension based on being over 50 starting from Non-OA entry by meeting all requirements including mandatory insurance policy. You may do this without leaving Thailand.

2. Getting an initial Non-O visa being over 50 from scratch, then applying for the following 1-year extension for the same reason. You must leave Thailand once but you may not need insurance for the initial Non-O visa application. You can apply for an initial visa at the Thai embassy/consulate outside Thailand or the local immigration office once you enter as a tourist.
