Fellow Aussie here who lived 6 months here/6 months in Oz (FIFO chickie babe) for many years on a METV. Those days are gone just because they are tightening up on visas. Why you were warned last time is probably because your travel does not indicate you are a tourist - it probably appeared as it is, you are living here part time. You are flying in and out of your home country. If each METV showed that you were here for a month or two, maybe Cambodia or any neighbouring country for a couple of weeks, back here for a couple of weeks, then back home before coming back here or maybe stopping somewhere else before returning - you probably wouldn't have been questioned. Just get the retirement visa. It has no bearing at all on your tax status as long as you abide by the 180 rule. Just get the ME permit at the same time and carry on as usual with no more questioning πŸ‘

Not quite that much, insurance here is more than in Australia (and I had top Medibank!), but it's not horses for courses here. You will probably find that you opt for way less coverage benifits than you are used to, find a policy that you're happy with to cover you for the big ticket items and bank the rest to self insure for all the little things. I personally would get the visa here and skip the need for insurance tied to your visa

When we use the TM30 portal, we can register someone up to 7 days before check in.... Not sure if it will be approved though considering you are out of country. I have registered friends staying with me early before but they have already arrived in Thailand. We don't actually upload any stamps when notifying persons of stay - that process is only used for the account holder during the registration process and when we need to register a new dwelling (sometimes). πŸ™

what's your point mate?.... That's his synopsis of their conversation and at no stage did he say 'doctored'. Hope your not inferring that Siam legal are anything but above board lawyers. For all you know they will set up some sort of company structure for him (completely within the law) and organise it that way.... All I know for a fact is that they are the largest, reputable law firm here and very much above board.... I watched you for the last few years just becoming worse and worse in your ridiculous keyboard warrior comments and scaremongering... In this particular case, regarding Siam Legal - you don't have a f*****g clue!

Siam Legal are a very good, reputable law firm here, I personally wouldn't use any one else (especially for doing due diligence). I haven't used them for visas though but I'm sure you are in good hands. Can't recommend them high enoughπŸ‘. Good luck with your smooth application process πŸ™

I bought my 5Ltr Electrolux from Homepro. Large basket and came with the removable wire insert which is great for reheating fried chicken 😊
