-Asked for additional documents the very next business day:

1. Proof of ongoing income. I have read other reports of Manila asking for proof of income from other applicants in this group. Note that this is in addition to the 3 months of statements showing 500k baht and that this is for a soft power Muay Thai app, not workcation. The embassy did not specify how much income they were looking for but apparently I met that threshold.

2. Proof of Muay Thai payment beyond the receipt (I provided a credit card statement showing the payment).

3. Thai translation of business registration for Muay Thai school.

-All documents submitted the same day they were requested. My visa agent also prepared a cover letter explaining my source of income.

-Approved after a total of 4 business days. No interview or further questions.

Overall a smooth process. My agent and Muay Thai provider were very helpful and responded quickly to questions and requests for additional documents. I used Siam Legal as the agent and FitFac as the Muay Thai provider for a 9 month course.

I am getting ready to retire to Thailand early next year to live with my long term Thai partner in Phetchabun. We will be living in a house currently owned by her brother and will buy this house in her name as soon as I sell my house in the UK. I will be in Bangkok on holiday shortly and am looking for recommendations for someone there that my partner and I can go and talk to get advice on various issues.
