number 1 and 3 are completely untrue. A tourist visa is easy to convert inside the country. I have many I know who have done it.

Why not come on a tourist visa and apply for the Non O inside the country

my previous visa is Thailand Elite. They won't allow another inside the country. You have to leave and come back. I have never overstayed.

I can be done only if your previous visa allows it. Some are not changeable inside the country like the STV and the Elite visa itself isn't.

I had one. The PE visa. It isn't transferable inside the country for another visa not even another PE visa. I got it to take me to retirement age. I always knew I had to leave and come back on a tourist visa to enable me to apply for a Non O inside the country. Unfortunately when it was due in July 2020 they closed the country already so fell into that visa amnesty.
