TLDR : Answer Summary
Several users have shared experiences regarding the recent 60-day extension granted due to COVID-19. To obtain the extension, applicants need to provide photocopies of their passport, previous immigration stamps, a departure card, and complete specific forms (TM7, STM2, and a new COVID-related form). A passport-sized photo and a fee of 1900 baht are also required. The extension date begins from the date of stamping. Some individuals reported an initial 'under consideration' stamp before receiving the final extension.

The extension date is based on when you go to immigration. Your 60 days start from the time they give you the stamp once your turn in your documents and pay the 1900 baht.
I’m not sure, but they did print something out at the office that had my registered address on it that they matched with my tm7 form. No official 90 day report was done though.
every time you do an extension you report your address. This is different to the TM30 but you are best asking at your immigration office as they all seem to have different interpretations of the rules.
I asked about this also as I have been doing 90 day reporting over 6 years and she said that's only if the extension exceeds 90 days. Currently they don't for those who were on Amnesty and you have to provide proof of your address every time you apply for the extension
oh really? I haven’t heard of that before, but every provincial office does things a bit differently.

I went to Phuket immigration the other day and got it. You needed photocopies of your passport ID page, your first stamp when you landed, your most recent extension stamp, and the small white departure card you got at the airport. There were also 3 papers to fill out (tm7, stm2, and a new one with check boxes saying why you can’t travel due to covid). Take all that and a passport sized photo along with 1900 baht and they give you a 1 week under consideration stamp, then come back for a stamp that’s good for the remaining 53 days.
my previous stamp would expire November 30th, which ironically is the same day that I go back in to close out my under consideration stamp which should give me until January 23rd or 24th (60 days from Nov. 24th when I applied). They didn’t mention anything about further extensions though.
thank you. Mine expires 26th November. Initially told me only until 30th December but I questioned it as they told me I would get 60 days and they said all visa starts 1 November and they give me free up to 26th November. As I was leaving they changed it until end of January but said after that cannot apply again have to leave the country.
it could be that the rule as of now is no more extensions after the end of January. But, given what has happened every other time this year that could always change. I would wait until there is an official announcement about it.
the actual statement read initial 60 days but I remember a story from Phuket immigration at the time that it maybe ongoing 60 days until the borders are open. Lived here 6 years and it's so stressful. I hope they don't leave it until the last minute to make an announcement.
ah ok. I’d imagine it will go back to the same logic of not kicking out people who are already here and spending money. But, we shall have to wait and see I guess.
