Actually I just went to immigration in Hua Hin as it was at the time and asked for a proof of residency to buy my car I filled in a form with my address they stamped it I paid my 500 baht ! that was it I did not prove to them that I actually lived at the address i provided! Then I got my Blue book for my car based on that. then I used my blue book as proof of address to get my retirement visa! that's logic !!
many thanks also I heard that it had to be in the bank a few months before the application and stay in the bank for the duration of your stay in Thailand , which if true raises the question : do you have to show your bank balance on each extension?
