Hi everyone, So I 'm due for a visa run from Krabi after mid-November.
Hoping not to fly... So...
Is Malaysia is the best option for time & cost?
What do most people from Krabi do?
Anyone tried Burma?
Once exciting Thailand, can I come straight back?
Or do I need to stay there for a minimal amount of days?
Do I even need to stamp into the other country before returning to Thailand?
I currently have a free 60 transit stay. My previous Thai entry/exit was in Jan-Feb 2025... & between this in 2025, I was in several other countries & my home country when I returned to Thailand in Sept 2025.
I am currently applying for my e-visa from Vietnam, where I am visiting. I have two questions. First, should I put my current address in Vietnam first, or my permanent residence address in my home country? Second, I am arriving in Thailand by train from Vientiane to Udon Thani. Which immigration checkpoint should I select: Fraternity Bridge 1, 2, 3, or 4?
I drove myself to the satun border and the officer told me if I stay two days in Malaysia it’s ok but if I want to walk out and walk back in I must pay the border fee of 2k, so I did.
No problems, no questions.
Agent wanted me to pay 3k if I drive there myself and 4.8k if they take me.
No agent needed.
Hey, has anyone done a land crossing border bounce without using an agent? Preferably at satun border.
Yesterday experienced a challenge crossing the land border at Nong Khai using the TDAC. I live in Nong Khai and had visited Laos for the day. The TDAC insist on me filling out when I will leave Thailand and is a required field. Finally was directed by immigration to a booth where a young lady quickly filled it out on her phone and handed me the acceptance code to enter Thailand. (Well worth the 20 THB.) Is there a work around for this issue?
How has everyones experience been applying for the DTV extension? I need to go this week and I'm feeling a little nervous. This would be my first time extending. Any tips are appreciated.
Has anyone tried entering Thailand by land using the DTV visa? Is this method feasible? I'm about to reach six consecutive months of stay in Thailand and plan to do a visa run. I'm on the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), and my first entry at Suvarnabhumi Airport six months ago went very smoothly.
A little while ago I posted about going to Laos because it seemed impossible to get a non o visa inside Thailand.
We drove to Nong Khai and booked into a pleasant motel near the friendship bridge. We drove to the border checkpoint to scope it out to formulate a plan for the following day. We looked a bit lost and confused when talking to the security guard at the entrance. A lady came up to our car and spoke extensively to my wife and the following transpired.
This lady took all of my details on that day, the following day she picked us from our motel after having made all the necessary arrangements, she drove us across the border to a hotel in Laos. We had a very casual and relaxing three days in Laos and this stranger contacted my wife to say that I now had a non o visa.
During this time we had upgraded to a better hotel, regardless, our newfound guide picked us up from the airport, handed me my visa and drove us back to our original motel (where I left my car parked during our absence). For all of this she charged nine thousand baht. I wish I had known this a lot sooner, it would have saved a lot of time, money and inconvenience, I would highly recommend her services however, I am sure that if my Thai wife had not been with me to handle all communications the outcome could have been a little more difficult. Just thought I would share and if anyone would like to know more about my own personal experience, drop me a message on messenger.
Ive tried to search for this in the group but cant find the right answers. We'll be living in Samui but will need to do visa runs obviously, what is the cheapest way people are doing this? Needing money to stretch as on a soft power DTV so no money coming in.
With the visa extension, after 12 months where do you guys choose to boarder cross curious if entry is easier in some places thank others? I really wouldnt want to stay away overnight if possible as I’ll have a cat at home who’s struggles being solo.
