 not really i came in on a 60 day exempt and had no problem getting my visa but I already had a bank account

Shouldn't have any trouble just go to the imigration office and ask them what paperwork they require its how I did mine.

Yes if you have a bank account it's easy just go to your local imigration office find out what they require get all the required paperwork and its done 2,000 baht.
