Does anyone have experience of the Jomtien office? I am aged over 60 and have a non O visa (issued in London) for single entry 90 days but can only stay for 56 days as I need to go back to London for some appointments. If I deposit the 800,000 funds in advance of arrival, and so have the funds on deposit for the necessary 2 months, what chance is there that the Jomtien office would accept an early application for a retirement extension after only 45-50 days after arrival.

However, since I currently plan to spend only 3-5 months per year in Thailand and never spend more than 60 days per visit, I think it will probably be simpler just to return on visa exemptions or another O visa when needed.

Hi folks my wife and Daughter are from Loas Pakse and we like to go Thailand shopping, restaurants, macDs, night markets, my wife and Daughter travel freely though I have to watch how many times I cross the boarder I normally spend 100,000 bhat per visit, then return visa to Loas, I ask Thai immigration 30 days is ok for me but they laughed, is this a deliberate action as they introduced the 60 Visa ? Now I bought return tickets , and tickets to Ubon , booked hotel, makes me feel conned by Thailand. My thoughts now I booked another way to Loas , there loss of a good Traveller with a few quid.

Hi everyone, my first post and want to clarify even of its been asked a hundred times… Cheers

I am an Australian citizen, and I am writing to seek clarification regarding my eligibility to apply for a Digital Nomad (DTV) visa.

Recently, I was refused entry at Thai Immigration at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The reason provided was the frequent use of visa exemptions, not any visa overstay or legal violation. I was informed that I could return to Australia and reapply for a proper visa if I wished to stay in Thailand for an extended period.

Before I proceed with my DTV visa application, I would like to confirm whether my previous entry refusal will affect my eligibility, and whether any record in the immigration system would prevent me from obtaining a DTV visa.

For your reference, I have never overstayed in Thailand and have always complied fully with immigration laws. My intention in applying for the DTV is to stay lawfully in Thailand while working remotely for my overseas clients.

My visa is now pending approval however it has been 3 and a half weeks already almost 4 and still not approved.

I am starting to get worried that it wont be approved. I see many others getting their in a more efficient timeframe.

I am a good candidate returning to thailand after 5 days from Vietnam to be caught up in this crackdown on visa exemptions and the 7 day exit stamp.

I tried to get TV in nam but my phone conflicted on payment page and thus failed..

Anyway, I heard on here of agents fast tracking people through immigration for a fee of 4000 bhat, question, how are they contacted and how are they on that side of immigration.

Please save the get the correct visa, changes aimed at me etc, I should have done it in UK but didn't, however earlier in year I got caught up in the banking fiasco, bought property, obtained drivers licences, but couldn't get bank account nor then visa.....cheers

Hi Everyone! This is my first post and have been reading others and researching online for the answer, but I wanted to confirm with the group on my upcoming trip.

I’m planning a trip to Thailand and planning on staying 75 days (I have an exit flight booked). I understand that I can stay 60 days without applying for a visa, but I need the extension to complete my trip.

I’ve read that you apply for the extension when you arrive (I can’t apply for extension in advance 😔), so my question is, will I do this at the airport knowing my departure fight or do I have to wait until it is close to expiration and go to an immigration office? Or would I have to do a border run? I would want to avoid the later.

Has anyone recently entered the country with a DTV visa after a history of exempt visas with the new regulations?

Any recorded problems entering with DTV by plane these days?

Has anyone applied for a Tourist Visa in London recently? If so how long did it take for the visa to be authorised? I understand they state its currently 15 working days but was wondering if people have been getting earlier than 15 days.
