The US embassy in Bangkok used to be able to add blank pages to your passport. Might want to ask about that.

It doesn't pertain to you. A single entry tourist visa doesn't need a re-entry permit. Just leave and come back with a new tourist visa or get a visa exempt stamp, nothing else you need to do.

If you deal with legit companies with an office, it's very unlikely to get scammed. If you make a barstool deal, it's very likely to get scammed.

It looks much better to the immigration officer if you get a tourist visa, instead of just the free visa exempt stamp.

I was 1 day over about 5 years ago, didn't get charged the 500 baht at BKK.

Only 1 day don't worry about it, they might not even charge you.
