Can I simply make flight reservations to leave USA, without doing anything else, receive a 60 day visa upon arrival and then apply for an additional 30 days near the end of my 60 days there. Or do I still have to send all the paperwork to the Thai Consulate in California in order to be issued a visa. I have been told we can now receive a 60 day visa upon arrival. Confused.

Please excuse me if im duplicating a much asked question but im having difficulty retreiving any searches inquiries. Im arriving in Bankok from USA in January for 54 days under a 30 day tourist visa (upon arrival). Is immigration still giving an additional 30 day visa stamp for a total of 60 day stay? thank you.

Since Google did not provide me with a solid answer …

US passport holder, on visa exemption with an extension for 30 days from the immigration office. After 60 days, left country and returned on another 30 days exemption. It is time for either another extension or visa run.

My guestion for you All … how many times (in a calendar year) can I visit immigration office, pay 1900 thb and extend? Is there a limit?

Visa Question: I have a passport from the USA. I flew into BKK, from the U.S, on December 4th, and got a 30 days Visa on arrival. Flew out of BKK to Siem Reap Cambodia on January 3rd. If I take a BUS back to Bangkok on January 18th, can I get a 30 days stamp, plus do a another 30 days extension for a total of 60 days this time?

Thank goodness for this group! I'm sure it is a question asked many times but there's so much conflicting information online.. I'm a 47 year old USA passport holder but I will be coming from Panama (October). Looking to stay for 90 days and then doing a visa run. Questions are.. 1) Should I do evisa for first 60 days? 2) will I be able to get 60 days from evisa and 30 day extension at immigration office? 3) Are visa runs still an option for quick turn around or do you have to stay out of Thailand for a period of time? 4) Will I use evisa again for visa run? 5) Do I need an onward ticket to enter and what dates are required?

Thanks in advance!

So this question has probably been asked a thousand times. I'm going to ask one more. I'm here as a US passport holder on a 60-day tourist visa. Can I get a Thai driver's license. I have been pulled over twice with my international license but I'd rather just get a Thai license sense on planning on staying till the end of September and flying in and out to extend my visa. I know the US embassy will not get me a proof of residency. I am staying at a service hotel month-to-month. And I asked them if they would give me a TM30 showing that I'm staying here long-term and I said no problem. Thank you everyone and as always I know I'm going to get a bunch of rude responses and that's cool. Cuz you are going to have tough skin to be in Thailand.

Hello all,

I am seeking to apply for retirement visa based on Non-o marriage in mid 2023. I do have thai Bank account Krungsri(2020-present) that meets 800k baht requirement and have a proof of residence address(house in BKK). I am a US passport holder. What are the steps for DIY(no agency/3rd party)?

Any advice would greatly appreciated.

Is getting a visa the only way for a US passport holder to stay in Thailand longer than 30 consecutive days? I could have sworn that I read somewhere last year that Thailand had extended the maximum stay beyond 30 days.
