man , did u do ANY research before ??

To become a Thai citizen you will need to live in Thailand for years and speak , read and write Thai fluently and sing the Thai national anthem!

You will also be assessed on your value and contribution to the Thai community.

Very few foreigners are ever granted Thai citizenship because they don’t need you here.

Your just another farang in a country who’s never going to accept you as anything but a farang

Chokdee dreamer !

Thanks Davy

For telling me nothing

I was commenting about expats that return from OS to apply

But you must have missed that to rush and tell something I’ve known for a couple of years

if you return to Australia after living overseas just before you apply for pension you will be deemed a non citizen and won’t be able to take the aged pension OS for 2 years

That is a solid fact

I get the pension and live OS

No problem

Do some real research and talk direct to Centrelink Aged Pension section

I did and got the facts

Not these uniformed half truths and wrong comments posted here

it’s portable if you have been living in Australia for a good period before you apply for the Pension

If you have been living overseas for a long period and return to Australia at pension age and apply you have to wait 2 years before it’s portable

It’s all about if you are determined to be a citizen of Australia when u apply

I had no delays ,waiting time and took the pension OS after 3 months of receiving it

99 % of insurance companies will not pay claims if they blame existing conditions which they always do

Anything related to your heart will be a problem if you need a hospital or surgery

Put a decent amount of cash aside and pay your health bills yourself

At 67 any decent policy will start at 125,000 bhat a year .

Insurance salespeople are only there for commission

So you’re 74 and going to wait a few more years ? Before you move to Thailand…

Health insurance will be almost impossible for you to get in Thailand at your age so you’ll need a big cash reserve for any serious visits to a hospital.

An American woman paid over 500,000 bhat for a hip replacement at Bangkok hospital last year

You can apply for marriage visa and Google

Visa agents Hu Hin and most will have prices on their web site
