DTV VISA is the only visa that isn’t affected because you don’t need a Thai bank account on a DTV , where as for retirement you need a Thai bank account so it’s the other way round to what you said

It cannot be done whilst this ban is in place , agents can’t even get it done , they say will last a month or so so just have to wait and see how long it lasts

wrong , there is a halt on foreigners open a Thai bank account at the moment, even agents have stopped , til further notice
