You got a fully fledged non o, unfortunately you spoke to someone in a branch who didn't have a clue. Go to a bank in a tourist area they are more likely have staff can understand you.

I'm with bangkok bank and Krungsri I can get 2 totally different answers if I ask a question in phuket Town or Patong. Patong tends to understand better

Yes you need a medical certificate, which you can get from any medical centre, thing is though your usually checked over by a Dr to get one, costs me usually about 400 baht where I go. I feel robbed now seeing people only paying 100 πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜… so your defo getting stitched up at a 1000 unless it's a backhander certificate so you don't need go in person or a scam.

no issue with extending a visa 14 days before including day it runs out. But get their early, if doing on last day, as if you run out of time and dont get sorted 30th then you may get problems.

I've never used one before but you got me thinking, time versus a few thousand baht. Renewing unless you hit it right, is half a day gone, better spent elsewhere than queuing in immigration. Last couple of times I turned up at 8.00 was painless but later than 9 you lose the day
