TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is contemplating whether to obtain a re-entry permit for their Non-O visa before traveling to the UK or to apply for a new Non-O visa while in the UK. They are informed about the costs of re-entry permits (1000 baht for a single entry) and the option to get them at Bangkok airport. Community members provide insights on ease and convenience regarding re-entry vs. applying for a new visa, emphasizing the importance of personal circumstances in making the decision.

and we're done. Now that
@Ca**
knows that a re-entry permit costs 1000baht at the immigration office and Don Mueang or 1200baht at Suvarnabhumi, and BOTH airports have 247 re-entry permit counters.

Good Luck, choose wisely. (y)

Extra 200 baht at the airport if you want them to do the forms and photos

Single entry 1000 baht, multiple entry 3800 baht. Get one at the airport before you fly or at an immigration office.

only you can decide it's worth the price of a reentry permit against you current extension/permitted time to stay or get a new Non O and start again. A reentry permit isn't going to extend your current stamp.

if you have your money in a Thai Bank account I would say it is easier to get a re-entry permit and apply later for a new EXtension of Stay than transfer your money to the UK, apply for a new visa and than transfer the money back to Thailand to have some spending money.
