I had this with my Dutch banks as well, i explained to them that I am not remitting assessable income to Thailand and because of that I would not get a TIN in Thailand. They were happy with that explanation.
All income earned before 2024 is exemted, so if you bring funds in that were in your account on 31 december 2023 they will not be taxed. The Thai tax office published this in November last year.
Why on earth would you need someone to renew your Thai driving licence? It's an easy and straightforward process that you can do yourself at the land transport office, also for far less than 1500 Baht.
I bet they mean an account statement covering one year by that. At least that is what is asked here in Chiang Mai for the last years. They want to see if you kept minimum account balance.
