To whom it may concern:

The fast track residence certificate option has doubled in price at the office in Promenade mall next door to Chiang Mai immigration. It went up from 500 Baht to a 1000. On top of that they tried to charge a friend of mine (who went there this morning) twice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost for the fast track residence certificate at the Promenade mall office next to Chiang Mai immigration has doubled from 500 Baht to 1000 Baht. There are reports of individuals being overcharged, as one person faced double charges. However, others have shared experiences of receiving the certificate for free or for a reduced fee without a fast track option, raising concerns about potential corruption at the office.

The last time I needed one I submitted the application on a Friday and it was ready three days later on Monday. No charge.

Why fast track? Two weeks ago I went to the immigration office on the 2nd floor (where you do the TM30) and applied for the resident certificate. Picked up next business day, free.
