Process was smooth. Convert or renew driverse license (all copies duplicated as doing car+motorcycle at the same time):

- Do the online training and bring the QR code as proof of completion.

- Do online appointment and bring the QR for your booking

- Copy of passport (info page + visa page)

- Copy of current licenses

- Copy of passport

- Medical certificate

(and bring originals of everything, of course)

They want to see your visa. Thats why a DTV visa holder cant open a bank account as its not seen as a long term visa.

Most banks require you to have a long term visa to open a bank account.

Except if he does not have a multiple entry. If single the visa will be cancelled on exit.

With the clamp down on mule accounts the banks dont open any accounts for anyone that has less than a 12 month visa. Even DTV visa holders are not able to open bank accounts.

Thai banks only open accounts if you have a long term visa and that you have to do in person if you qualify.
