I have my own phone, I will need a number in my name for my visa. I'm in the khon kaen area. I don't need unlimited data. I don't mind paying for a year in advance if it saves money. Thanks.
How do you guys take SIM in Thailand? Is it straightforward, what documents they ask? Since I am planning to stay long-term (DTV) or at least visit time to time so visitor's SIM is not an option and I want to get a full local SIM. Where to get the SIM, at the airport or from city center for better rates? For the network, AIS is the best I guess?
Proud DTV holder here! Just arrived! What cell phone plan do you all recommend? I’ll be here at least six months. Looks like AIS requires a work permit but DTAC/True are cool without? Tips?
Hello, does anybody has the AIS App? I bought at the airport an SimCard. Its written on it Prepaid. The package with 40GB till 31.10 is almost over and i want more internet. What if the GB are used. Can i just load money up per App? Also with this package where is written for excampel - 40GB /30 Days? Cause in AIS App u can TOP with Money but if u load money on the App, there is no difference at the GB showen. I m somewhere where almost nobody speaks english. So maybe u can help me 🫣 thank u all for your Support 🙏
Last trip to Thailand I got an AIS 5G SIM card and I was getting lag when using instagram (videos and posts slow to load). This time I got a AIS 4G SIM and it's basically the exact same speed. I did a speed test and it's about 10MBS.
I learned from a visit to the AIS store with help from a local that they throttle speeds for foreigners, and if I want a faster speed, I need a plan/contract, but that it requires a Work Permit, which I don't have. But I do have LTR visa.
Wondering what you recommend for the fastest, best value mobile data SIM card that I can get on a LTR visa.
